Oliver & Gus

The boys, Oliver & Gussie, arrived here at Black Street as teeny kittens nearly 4 years ago. Oliver was 9 weeks old and Gus 6 weeks. They lived in a large kennel in the chocolate brown guest room for weeks as I gradually, gradually introduced them to Missy D (Scottish muskrat hound who's philosophy in life is - if it's furry and moves it's gotta be prey), Em & Jake, who were both still here at the time, were their usual easy going, life's a tennis ball, retriever selves and were all Cool ! kittens - the more animals the merrier. Winnie Dixon was more Cool ! Run ... I dare you.

Oliver has always taken his role as big brother to Gus (or our L'il Man) very seriously.

It's a beautiful warm blue sky sunshiny day. I'm a little late with this morning's post because Missy D and I really took our time strolling on the beach. Off now to see if I can't get things a hummin' at that darn ol' teak topped desk.

  7. Oliver can't believe that no one's commented on his stunning good looks. Well actually that's not true ... Rachel has used the word gorgeous although Oliver says what he is always aiming for is "VERY handsome and obviously tres athletic Dude". It's like summer here today and I'm off to flit around in the garden.

  8. I love these kitties! And the photography is stunning. I also love that slow progression of light to dark.....It tells the story without words...also brings tears. We have a big brother situation, too..along with a Mama who has handed over the youngest from the last litter to a male from litter before that. They are half/brothers I guess. Older brother (18 mo?) makes a big fluffy bed for all of the younger ones (9 mo). How did they decide all that? He also has top position in the (how do you spell "hierchy"?.
